Ervin Cardoza Named KU Employee of the Month for February 2025

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Congratulations to Ervin Cardoza, Facilities, on being named Kutztown University Employee of the Month for February 2025.
Cardoza’s nomination from Rebecca West Burns, College of Education, reads:
“Ervin's cheerful personality is truly infectious; he greets everyone – students, faculty and staff – with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their well-being. His pride in his work is evident as he consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that our building looks immaculate. Ervin's collaborative spirit shines through as he works seamlessly with other members in our building to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Ervin makes a vital contribution toward achieving the goals of our office, division and the university. He is incredibly conscientious, always making sure that the Dean's Office is notified if there are any issues or concerns. His hard work and dedication are unparalleled; he is constantly working diligently to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard. Moreover, Ervin is always helpful, ready to answer any questions or provide support in any way needed. His commitment to our community is evident through his active participation in our College of Education events, such as the Chili Cook Off and the Souper Bowl, which he won.
Ervin demonstrates a dedication to the support of the Kutztown University mission, vision and strategic plan by consistently upholding the values of excellence, collaboration and community engagement. Additionally, Ervin is currently pursuing his bachelor's degree at KU and hopes to return to get his teaching certificate through the Secondary Education Master’s in Education Initial Certification program. He serves as a role model for persistence, passion, hard work, dedication and lifelong learning. His contributions and positive attitude make him an invaluable asset to our team.”
Nominations are collected from students, faculty and staff, and the Employee of the Month is selected by the Human Resources Advisory Council. A winner will be selected each month, and out of the 12 monthly winners one will be selected as Employee of the Year. The Employee of the Month will receive a plaque, reserved parking and a $100 monetary gift sponsored by President Hawkinson.
